Working with Ramzi simply raised the bar of what one might expect from an interior designer. His commitment to the client, his contagious enthusiasm and his dedication to always satisfy the customer wishes have rendered this a fun rather than an arduous job. I look forward to working with him again!

Looking to the traditional for inspiration, my client and I went to Ezbet Belal, aka the best market for salvaged architectural and decorative pieces in Cairo.  Using an antique balcony rail and incorporating that with straight modern lines, the bed stays true to the style of the home in both ethnicity and modernity.

The bed’s structure uses the same azizi wood as the headboard and is built with two storage drawers on either side, as well as a secret compartment in the middle.

The Gouna Bed is designed to be romantic at night. Using salt rock lighting, from Siwa Creations, on both sides the space becomes warm and accentuates the intricacies of the bed’s antique back.
